In addition to her busy ophthalmic practice, Dr. Kostina-O'Neil is involved in many community activities. She enjoys reading, walking and traveling.
Dr. Yanina Kostina-O'Neil is a general ophthalmologist with extensive training in cataract and
laser surgery. She graduated from medical school with honors from the Medical
Academy of Moscow, Russia. Dr. Kostina-O'Neil completed a medical internship
at Saint Vincent's Medical Center of Richmond in New York. She then
completed her residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Health Science Center
in Brooklyn, New York. During her residency training, Dr. Kostina-O'Neil
participated in several scientific research projects, one of which
was presented at the prestigious research conference ARVO in 2000.
Dr. Kostina-O'Neil is a member of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive
Surgery. She speaks fluent Russian.
