
Besides her active
and rewarding retinal
practice, Dr. Sugin is
kept busy by her husband
and two young children.
She enjoys reading,
walking, and playing tennis.

Dr. Stephanie Sugin, a specialist
in disease and surgery of the retina and vitreous, received her undergraduate
degree from Northwestern University's Honor Program in Medical Education.
She received her medical degree with honors from Northwestern University
Medical School. She completed her ophthalmology residency also at Northwestern
University in Chicago and went on to pursue advanced training in vitro-retinal
disease and surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital where
she was awarded a Heed Fellowship.
In addition to her special surgical skills and diagnostic
abilities, Dr. Sugin has lectured at ophthalmology meetings both in
the United States and abroad, and teaches a course at the American
Academy of Ophthalmology and currently serves as chairman of Ophthalmology
at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury.
